The closer we get to election the uglier and uglier trump and his supporters become. Tho it never takes them long to start throwing fits. And giving me a beat down.
And the red polls will continue to dwarf ? the usual suspects, to keep trump “alive.”
Meanwhile, democrats will just roll along doing with what they do, worrying about the blue wall, worrying about the senate, Kamala will continue to create a sense of republicans being welcome. Esp the girls.
It will seem like media is going along with trumps outrageousness. As Trump will continue to create chaos and will continue to get worse and worse, saying something derogatory etc to attract attention and convince the bros this ones on them.
Meanwhile, us girls, including quite a few republican women who see trump for what he is, are feeling more and more desperate, and out to vote in Kamala, to save us from his terrorizing us for the next four years.
Kamala doesnt terrorize feels no need. Nothing he does gets her do anything but shrug, we all know he’s an asshole. Let’s move on. And because she is a women, unlike Dukakis or Kerry, she doesnt have to play along or try to compete with his jerk off jokes or ride on tanks.
Wants to welcome instead. Is this a winning maneuver?
The bros are gone? No. There’s a huge diversity of men, who back Kamala. Even in the villages. And aren’t taken in by Trumps charades. Others dont want their daughters growing up with him as president. And others are sick and tired of his chaos.
There’s a lot of men, who arent being duped by Trumps weird wandering explanations. Like at his last gathering with men of color, one guy knodded his head a few times. The rest had a serious look of inquiry but also shock at the shit coming out of his mouth and not really buying it.
Yeah. Except to laugh at his penis jokes?
Conned by the Con
Silver is saying that trumps lies on the billboards — are stronger than harris’ refusing to fight like a man. And like with Nixon, he will win.
That jan 6 doesnt matter any more, or womens rights, or his race bating. Or the fact that he blathers out a constant stream of lies and penis jokes!
He is certainly not winning back women.
Why is Silver suddenly pulling for trump - he loves being a contrarian and thinks Kamala being a woman and democrats not acting like republicans will bury her.
I think he is being conned by the con.
Red Polls on The Roll
Trying to convince everybody she’s just another Kerry or Dukakis. Unwilling to fight fire with fire.
That the slight edge coming up in the polls, and the anger in his voice screaming immigrants are death to America, overwhelms Kamala’s joyful and more level headed approach. By far.
She doesnt swear. She doesnt call people names. She stands her ground as a Normy Politician kind of thing. Women are Comfortable with her. She doesnt want to run around spreading lies. She sits down and discusses issues with republicans as a campaign tactic.
The addiction to macho guy garbage he is spreading, and getting worse everyday, trying to convince macho latino and black men to turn the tide against her. Maybe. That’s not what the polls are necessarily saying…
What I see coming from the right, is all about yesterday. All about the last election and covid and guns, and rabid racism, oh and ww 3.
And the trans thing, they are flooding us with their hatred for trans kids.
Sending Us All Out to Vote
But its not what ALL the polls are saying. State polls too. Only a sudden slew of polls that appear to be right leaning. Just like the betting markets suddenly loads of cash for trump. Which happened before too in 2022 and didn’t really materialize.
What it is doing is highlighting how important it is to vote.
And THATS working.
Whose Fears Are Bigger
We who fear trump - and we REALLY fear him - is it more than those who eat up his macho image and his fight fight fight against the enemy within stuff ?
It is working on the right. Who are having a blast libertarding. And its working for misogynistic men and racist women, no question. Is it working with suburban women? Some.
But Silver is only highlighting the more mundane side to democratic advertising. Conveniently leaving out the ads that really are highlighting the chaos he brings, his support for Putin, January 6, his blathering meanness.
And the fact that black men and women are simply not as stupid as the right likes to think. Nor are union members.
Hands Across the Aisle
I have to believe America is better than putting that asshole back into the office. And the way he governs by way of chaos and turning us against each other.
And I do believe a lot of common sense republicans are going to vote against Trump, even in the ruby red states I see republican women have sworn off him and are voting for Kamala.
I’ve never before seen organizations set up by republicans to defeat their own candidate. Or so many people who have worked directly with a President, turn outright against him.
Republicans who dislike trump, really dislike him, for jan 6, and especially for supporting Putin, they have not changed their minds. Also many republican women who are seeing the effects of Dobbs in real time are voting for Kamala.
And they like Kamala enough, because she is organized and reaching across the aisle. And they don’t seem to have any problem at all voting for her.
That she has accomplished.
In 1863, a year of contingency, Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee lost the War of the Rebellion because they were blind to southern white women left alone, abandoned. Being women, they wouldn’t tolerate all of the death and destruction. After the Emancipation Proclamation, starving, grieving, they gathered in battalions of the night and destroyed Confederate government buildings and storehouses. The Generals couldn’t figure out who was sabotaging them. Never underestimate the hearts of women. I’m praying we hear their voices drive this darkness away.
