A Days Sketches.

I tend to gain access to “hand” through a process of rediscovery.

Started off identifying shapes —

basic structure, and keeping simple just shapes and fill.

Underdrawings

Then did what are known in watercolor as underdrawings.

Two more, finding shape and feel of body of bird, simply by piling up a number of glazes.

Finished the days drawings, with some Fast Pencil sketches,

that I then glazed over with watercolors.

I think I do these to help settle the architecture in my writing. As its all about various ways to acquire form. And birds are amazing, there are so many and their beauty is astonishing…

These are all done fast, I am only sketching not painting.

And get back to writing NOVEL.
