Do I believe trump can win. Much less than I do Kamala. I seem to think the country is going in Kamala’s direction in reality. At least where I live, for sure.
And that Trump is representative of the past, like many aspects of the South. Which prides itself at it, as well as attempts/contempts at erasing it, from school books, as wrt black history and slavery.
Wants to put back confederate names of towns and statues for his “civil war” reprisals. Bible belt evangelicals going wild on religion being put forth and applied as structure for government and schooling.
A woman (who are for breeding) winning presidency is beyond the conditioned response, as a generality.
But Musk and that other guy laughing about how he is somehow what Trump is and allowed, if he can be clever enough to get around the letter of the law no matter who comes after him...
His morality being, at that moment, to flaunt whatever he is up to as a ride — into the dark side. Maybe it is frat boy/bad boy appealing, but is it electable ?

Its a snide joke but in a real way it sums up their feelings toward America.
Could end of day, this just be another confederate rebound with the past as the future, redounding through politics on the right. That when the country is confronted with, they lose once again. That the country is tilted now toward modernity -
Will white moms be more concerned about their kids sexuality being freed from black and white aspects of religion, than the fact that women are dying where abortions are forbidden, are sent bleeding into hospital parking lots, with a Supreme Court that condones it. And that 2025 seriously intends to push back womens rights even more, along with putting bibles “back” in schools.
That trumps gigs are really just what? revivalist meetings — where love of god is equal to hatred of migrants as well as the miracles of modernity.
I dont know. The race is tightening. Trump has a lot of support from men and women. And then there are people who dont like him but believe him a strong man, a leader in that way, and Kamala represents empathy and joy not toughness and asshole like the authoritarians are. They think she is soft. I dont. She's not a great orator and is just repeating her practiced lines. She is no obama or either of the clintons. Or a trump. I think she could win. And I know she could also lose. Because its a race and Trump makes people do things they would never do otherwise. He is a martyr and a monster.... She's not a monster. She wants to pursue policy, be effective, and welcoming to republlicans who HATE trump... her plan could work. Some women who like being in a traditional world value his manhood. But even women who do, outside of his cult, dont really like him, and have to decide between what scares them more, trans re kids or their own health care. The religious see themselves as on the march. The goony monsters big guys like Musk, to many come across as meglamaniacs. Decisive cruel and selfish.
I have the same feeling that the tide is turning. Hope is powerful. I’ve always been naive about good people on both sides, both sides, but such is now wiped away by the scott towels trump tossed to the people suffering under the destruction of unnatural acts of weather. He and his sidekick have separated themselves from polite society and now can be only an outlaw and a hillbilly. Hillbilly heaven on Earth = Project 2025.
