"Negative Math" by Alberto Martinez

Half way through this book. Pretty Darn Good.

11 16 24 Alt Algebras

At a certain point, they started creating alternative Algebras, and geometries too.

Algebra deals in equations, that are used in Geometries. Turns out, it depends upon what is being measured or counted.

The question has been around since before Brahmagupta's work. How can a negative be real.

That sort of thing. Negative were first used with respect to Debt.

The reasoning behind Multiplying Negatives makes Positive

It has to do with measurement, not with quantities. It refers to taking that many STEPS in the opposite direction, as multiplied.

Say if your down by six to the negative, and you six by six a negative of a negative, steps wise, it turns and goes in the opposite direction.

Why works in vector which is a term that only measures direction. Its STEPS, how many steps, and not necessarily the final number on a graph say, depending upon where it started…

CUTE.

Have finished historical discussion and started into his showing me examples…

Tend to take in Math slow, think of as a Chewy.
